Pleats Please!!

Hello friends!
First, Happy Passover for you guys all! Jesus the King has risen from the death and we carried no burden of sins; we are forgiven and He loves us so much.

If you notice, we've been seeing a lot of pleats nowadays! Starting from skirt, pants, cullottes or even blouse. Pleated clothes were on trend in 70s era, and now it is back with various style! Now, you can just asked your mom, grandma, aunties about this fashion item. They must be had one back then! :D Many types of pleats, i personally don't really like the thin pleats. I prefer medium sized pleats ;)

White T-shirt: HM
Scarf: Mom's
Pleated skirt: Unbranded from Bangkok
Bag: VNC
Nude Pumps: Christian Siriano
Sunglasses: New Look

My skirt here is actually a grey color, but turned out in pictures it is more like soft lilac color. That is why, i picked magenta color scheme for today's outfit. My scarf here is eye catching, but i managed to make the skirt is the point of the look.

I wore this plain white t-shirt because i was confused what should i match with the skirt? First i attempted to wear white shirt, but i ended up looking too formal. I put on outerwear, but i felt i'm going simple today. Besides, today was very humid and hot. I didn't wanna ended up get sweat all day. But.. T-shirt always works! I styled it with a scarf to make it less plain, because today i didn't feel like to wear any necklace around my neck. Voila! The scarf even matched the skirt. Happy!

Ombre Nails

Just realized that my ombre nails even matched perfectly with the outfit. What a coincidence! Hahaha being happy is waaayyy very simple for me! :D It's pink- magenta color gradation, gel mani.

Just put on basic colors here in my whole look like nude and caramel. Nude pump heels are extremely important to all girls out there, after the black pumps. Nude pump heels will work the best almost in every outfit! Plus, longer looking leg illusion ;)

If you wonder, this outfit is actually very simple. You only gonna need plain t-shirt, shoes you love and accesorries to spice up the whole look. Whenever you think you're going formal, just add on a blazer (could be white, black, nude, peach or even grey) and a pump heels. Do invest in basic neutral colors. I myself even started to thik i must get the bright colors too for these pleats ;p

Have fun with your pleats clothes! Tag me in your photos, i'd really love to see it! What do you think about my outfit? :)

Rizman Ruzaini for Indonesia Fashion Week 2016: Runway Recap

Definitly WOW at the first sight, Malaysian Designer Rizman Ruzaini is very capable for putting elements together prettily. I mean, from sequins to feathers, latex to lace; all looking extra glam in purple color dominated. I adore how he puts everything to be in special and pretty harmonization.

Rizman Ruzaini Fall/ Winter 2016/ 2017 at Indonesia Fashion Week 2016

I have a secret obsession with big flare skirts/ bottom like these. Awesome!

Just told you! Look at the sequins and feathers here. Who doesn't love? All of these stunning pieces will make a head- turn as you walked down. Wearing that jet black sequinned tux = my dream!!

These two are my major crush. Notice the similar part? FLARE bottom!!!!!! When i saw these down the runway, i really couldn't take my eyes off from these gorgeous pieces. Imagined myself wearing them and strike a pose, hahaha. My most favorite part is the 3D flower embelishment in the first picture above; attached there layers of tulle to make extra flare volume.

This is the final gown that came out and it's just breath- taking. I directly thought that this gown should've be Maleficent's gown in the Diney movie back then. Structured, strong and bold. Sexy!

Finale Pose

Psst, i'll post 1 more designer's runway recap on my next post. Can you guess who? :) Don't forget to comment down below! :)

SOKO WIYANTO: Indonesia Fashion Week 2016 Runway Recap

Attended Soko Wiyanto's fashion show at IFW 2016, and definitely he is my new favorite darling designer. I saw how he put beads, jewels, lace, brocade, jacquard, velvet into magical long gowns. Many silhouettes appeared, from mermaid dresses to ball gown and all of them are really sophisticated!

Enjoy these photos below, enjoy his masterpiece!

Major crush on this mermaid dress with a drape accent on chest

Who doesn't want these gorgeous, bling and graceful gowns?

Nice color gradation

This one is my personal favorite too, like a ancient Greek godesses. That velvet fabric is also an additional pretty value

This ball gown is the last gown to be appeared, if you take a closer look; the beads are sewn right on top of the hip part.

FINALE pose.

As seen here, all details are matter. Look how intricate they are! I love the Mandarin collar being used into a night gown, especially in dark color like navy here. Plus, i think i slightly remember that these gowns are also like Kebaya- inspired. All of Soko Wiyanto's designs are extremely gorgeous!

I'll post another 3 designer's collections on my next post. Don't forget to comment below and follow me via Instagram and Snapchat to view more daily updates! :) See you on my next post!

Indonesia Fashion Week 2016: Outfit Post

Hello everyone!

Last weekend on Saturday, i had a chance to come to Indonesia Fashion Week 2016 (IFW 2016) with my friends. It's so fun, because we were able to meet up after so long! psst, are you curious whose designers' shows i was attending yesterday? Stay tune, because i'll post a lot about their awesome and spectacular masterpiece!

Here is my outfit that day:

Indonesia Fashion Week (10- 13 march 2016) is annual event organized by APPMI (Asosiasi Perancang Pengusaha Mode Indonesia) or in English: Association of Indonesia Fashion Designers Entrepreneur and this year was lead by Poppy Dharsono, Indonesian designer and fashion Entrepreneur.

So happy to be able to witness the fast growing fashion industry here in my country Indonesia. I've always wanted to contribute something through fashion in my country. Seeing amazing masterpieces and artwork really amazed me! My jaws dropped a lot of times seeing remarkable pieces that must be designed and made carefully.

A lot of local brands and UKM (Usaha Kecil menengah) participated in this one of the big fashion event in Indonesia. I took a stroll a little to see, and once again i'm amazed by the quality of our local product. That is why i really love to use local made, for now especially in fashion items. I even bought myself a hand- crafted phyton snakeskin clutch. Hahaha, i know, my weakest point when i saw something eye catchy and unique! :p I'll post it soon i my next outfit posts :) Bought it because the superb quality; plus it is handmade. I always appreciate handmade things; you gotta put so much effort to make one, and 4 thumbs up to local Indonesian designers and crafters!

If you are a designer or a crafter and you're reading this post, please know that keep doing your work and put your best effort! I'd love to see and wear them, because i realized if we don't love our local products, then who else gonna do? Foreigners may love them too, but i think it is supposed to be us that love our products. Nationalism wins :)

My friends arranged a theme for this event's #ootd: it's monochrome! I'll post photos with them on my next post, you gonna be curious! My friends are wonderful, they have their own unique personal style. So happy to find a community that doen't judge you from the way you dress up, the way you look in fashion. Fashion is freedom.

I wore this white- based stripes jumpsuit. Bold prints game strong! ;) I've been wearing a lot of jumpsuits lately, it's my favorite fashin piece. Especially, this kind of stripe pattern will surely make you look instantly slimmer, taller, bolder. Hahaha ;D

Because i've been always colorful, i added a touch of red color in my outfit. The trapeze tote bag and a simple red pump, just because the print has bold enough; i didn't wanna look 'heavy'. Balancing is the key! Psst, the jumpsuit and bag are unbranded, because i found it in some market! ;)

Hope to attend next year IFW again, and stay tune for my next report about the fashion shows i attended! Don't forget to follow my Instagram: @thelmakisela and Snapchat: thelmakisela to see my daily outfit posts and activities. See you around soon friends :)
