Brave Red

Hi everyone! :) AmyGo just launched many new arrivals! You can direct check on Instagram: @amygostore to find more! This time, we realized that hot weather is beating us down! So i decided to produce some light- weight, airy and breezy shirts! They come with many colors to suit your days, day and night. The fitting is also nice and what i really love from this item is  its material, made from fine Paris cotton. Many colors available for you to choose.

I wore this ruby shirt in bright red when i was dancing. This time, i did not wanna wear something heavy/ complicated costume for a dance. The theme for today is red with a touch of black/ gray. I just put on a black tank top worn underneath and paired it with tiny stripe cropped trouser. My feet were to 'tired' to wear some boots or high- top sneakers, so instead of wearing those, i wore this black and white slip on! My slip on shoes is from The things Corner (Instagram: @thethingscorner)

Recently, i just got a very severe blotch, it was VERY painful- i even couldn't stand up or walk. It's holiday, but just ended up laying on my bed for the whole weeks :') the good news is, now that blotch has gone, leaving a very ugly mark on my skin. I am on my treatment to clean it away! Wish me luck!

Hat was borrowed from my friend Vania. I intended to borrow her hat and wear it on stage, but plan was changed since this hat won't really stay on my head. I was avoiding some risks my performance out there would be failed because of the fallen hat, hahaha! Well, just put this hat for a photo :p

I love to wear my shirts a bit loose and also make the sleeves tied up. Oh! I usually wear my shirts with some tank inside. I don't know.. this way is influenced by my mom's style. She likes to wear shirts with a tank underneath. she said by wearing it that way, you do layering and make the plain shirt not too formal! Awesome idea, Mom.

Red is identic with brave. Talk about bravery, i admit that sometimes i am not a brave person. I was also not a brave woman. I'm late for taking decisions, so those good chances just flew away. I even can't handle myself for being scared to insects (i hate it the most)  But... I learned! Now, i am more a self- motivated person. If i started to think that i'm not brave, i'd think of the oppsoite that: I am brave! The one who can change yourself is YOU, not other people. Self- motivation is powerful. You just use your own mind to control yourself. Remember, you can control yourself. You can control yourself to be success, or to be a loser, you are the one who decides!

By doing seld- motivation, you will understand yourself more and you can also handle yourself too. Self- motivation guides you to see things more clear and encourage you to be a better person. Example:

Imagine you are in school, studying math subject you really don't like. how to self- motivate yourself?

First, you MUST throw away your negativity about math. Throw that "uh this math thingy is very hard" or "would i even use it on my real life?" Trust me, just throw first!

Second, begin to think you can. Simple, you just think that you can. "I am able to finish this because i have brain. brain can solve things, so do math!"

Third, motivate yourself! "Come on, if others can do this math, you should be able too! What are the reasons that you can't?? Solve them!"

Fourth,try and do your best. never stop, just try to do it well and maximal. Don't chase only for the result (read: score), but chase the learning process!

Hot Pink Lipstick!

I know! So lack of posts these days.. I feel guilty over myself because i left this blog for too long! I miss blogging :') Been sooooooooo busy like crazy with my uni life, yet i still have to manage my online fashion brand! I love to work (i think- a bit workaholic) and i love keeping myself busy. If i ended up at home for just lazying around on bed, i can feel GUILTY, like "oh my, why am i here doing nothing? I'm young, i should make an impact or do something worth and useful!). Yep, call me workaholic then :p

I LOVE any kind of lip products! Either it's a lip balm, lipstick, lip tint, lip scrub, you name it! This time, i got my new cute NYX butter lipstick in hot pink from Beauty Store Indo (Instagram: @beautystore_indo). They sell varieties of cosmetics in affordable price! They can get you USA cosmetics such as LA Girl, Covergirl, Cetaphil, etc. They also sell Sephora, Anastasia Beverly Hills and more!

I am going to post my daily make up here. girls and make up can't be separated- though some girls/ woman don't really like using make up, but once they put them on, i am very sure make up transforms a lot! Make up should enhance your natural beauty, not being a fake one.

Wearing bright color lipstick will make my skin stand out. I look pale if i don't wear any (is it just my feeling or the fact?) but i feel more confident with some color on my lip! That's why, i NEVER leave my home without a coloured lipstick/ lip tint/ lip balm (and off course, my eyeliner and eyebrow pencil hahaha)

When it comes to make up, i love simple make up. my every day look is using sunblock, loose powder (sometimes) eyebrow pencil, eyeliner (gel/ liquid), and lip tint. When there is special occasion, i add peach blush, natural looking falsies and if i am in the mood, i'll use my BB cream. Since i have a sensitive skin (acne and blackheads are like my best friend, even though i don't wanna be friends with them -.-), i avoid using too much skin cosmetics such as BB cream, foundation, powder, blush, etc. so sad, because actually i really love to use BB cream and blush. They make your skin glows, hiding the tired face!

Falsies are my fave! I love the natural- thin looking one. Just add mascara, and eyes opened wider! ;)

After 

Tadaaa, loving the result! The texture is just lovely! you will not feel like you're wearing heavy lipstick on your lip. The color also pops, instantly brighten up my whole face. I love this kind of pink color, this gives you some feminine look, but still colorful. You can either wear this color for day and also night!

If you'd love to, you can also lining up your oter lip with a pencil lipliner, for more defined looking and fuller lips! I am sure for some woman, lips are the most valuable assets in body, besides hair and skin, right? ;) Don't forget, best make up you can wear is SMILE! Smile more, for the world is beautiful and full of blessings!

Success Young Generation

Hope everything is doing well! I clearly realized that as young generaion, leave your sadness! Should be happy in every way because the grace and blessings we accept is more than enough. i frequently think that many of relatives of mine don't know what they are doing. They also go very slow to reach their dreams, even they dn't even know what to achieve. In fact, there are soooooo many hobbies or things we can do as young people. Find your passion. No matter how tired you are, as long as you do it with passion, you will never feel tired at all. Or simply you can analyze and look inside you: what are the things i completely fall in love with? What things i do until i forget the time runs so fast? Identify and find your passion! :)

So this passion- searching should be driven with the right reasons You can have many reasons. For example, you wan't to be a success person to make your parents proud. You wan't to be success to prove yourself that you are able. You wan't to be success to make your life meaningful, to be a blessing for others. You wan't to be success because you think you must be a success person.

No matter what your reasons are, be still and consistent! Success won't come if you just seat calmly there in your cozy bedroom and doing nothing. Success even won't come if you can't  manage yourself and make disciplines. Success won't also come if you are still doing wrong on your daily activities. God knows when you are able. God sees, whether have you worked hard enough or not? If He thinks you are not crazy enough to work hard as you really wanted the dreams to come true, the dreams won't come true.

Why i post so many flowers in this blogpost? Simply i love flowers :p For me, flowers are beautiful, they grow beautifully and spread good vibes. They seek minerals deep in the soil to make them stay strong and grow. That is exactly what we should do! We need to seek, we need to find the passion. we need to seek good minerals that is good for us. In this case those would be good friends thatsupoort you, find community that you can grow, read good books and so on. When you seek and find the great minerals, you will grow and be beautiful (also read: excellent). Your input= your output. You can never expect to have a positive life when you don't even fill youself with positive vibes.

Stay bold and be known! Let your life be meaningful. There are so many people out there that is not lucky enough like us. Be grateful for what you had but you still need to seek: "What more i can do for me or my family or my neighborhood or society?" Let's start a positive and and meaningfull life! :)

HSBC National Business Case Competition

Hi all!

I wanna share the experience for joining HSBC National Business Case Competition last March! Me and my friends: Nerissa, Johanna and Wren was chosen to represent our campus Universitas Pelita Harapan- Karawaci. So happy we could win the 2nd Runner Up (3rd Place) while at the 1st position is Binus International University and the 2nd place is Prasetya mulya BSD Campus. Johanna, Wren and I is from Management 2013 and Nerissa is from Accounting 2012. The competition was held at Binus Senayan (preliminary round) and for the grand final was held on Merchantile Athletic Building, World Trade Centre Sudirman (HSBC Building).

We never thought we could enter the final! Simply because: first, Wren and i haven't done such an academic national competition so far. Yet, this is a business case competition. We need to find the core problems and propose the best solution we can offer. Second, we clearly didn't know what we should do when we get the paper. Since this is a very first time for all of us, we found this competition is tough! We got mentor whom was a former participant for the lasy year HSBC National Business Case Competition. He is Saagar, he was our senior at UPH too :) He gave us really great testimony and things need to do. Third, the date of the competition fell right away after our campus final exam finished. The exam finished on Friday, and the competition was on Saturday. So we did not even prepare anything! All of our focuses and time and energy were given to the final exam. So we feel like we could not win this. Our preparation was so little, we do not have enough time to brainstorm and discuss.

There are 8 participants from national wide well known univeristies, such as Universitas Indonesia, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Trisakti School of Management, Universitas Maranatha, Prasetya Mulya, Universitas Pelita Harapan, Binus National University and Binus International University. The preliminary round was conducted to choose TOP 3. The TOP 3 will compete again in the grand final.

During the preliminary round, we are the first participant that came in to the quarantine room. At the quarantine room, we were not allowed to bring anything, even a pen. This competition takes 2,5 hours to read the casem brainstorm, decide and immediately put our ideas on OHP mika paper. We may present our idea through OHP, not a power point. This made the judges can analyze the way we think, the flow of our thoughts through steps written on the paper (can't be erased!).

Next stage, we entered the judges room. There were 6 judges both national and international experts in business. I forgot all the names of the judges, only remember a few. They were all really charismatic and looked really impressive! So, we began to present our ideas. After we finished, it's time to face the questions and answer it the best we could. The questions were all really really tough, we frequently need to dig our brain hahaha. We even felt a bit ridiculous! So for one more time, we are so sure we wouldn't enter the grand final. Preliminary round has finished, we were so relieved as our tension and pressure (i guess) were soooo high in the judging room.

We also joined the seminars before the preliminary round begins. it was on FX Lifestyle Centre sudirman, and the seminar was weld on a cinema. Couldn't be more cool! ;p All of the speakers are also very excellent business man, they take charge in their aspects. There was the CEO and Founder of BUBU.com, a very energetic young lady who has passion in digital website and e-commerce. We got inspired a lot from all of the speakers.

At the HSBC competition final round, we also repeat the same steps in the competition. 2,5 hours in the quarantine room and 20 minutes presenting time in front of the judges. For the grand final, we are allowed to invite 5 persons to be our supporters. My mom also came, thanks mom for the support! <3 We also accompanied by our lovely mentors Mrs. Ritha and Ms. Patricia (my lecturer in UPH). After explained our ideas and answered the questions, we have to wait other participants in the quarantine room. After all were finished, we were allowed to enter the dining room. They've set a mini gala dinner. The food was very delicious!

when the time came up to the announcement, they announced UPH as the 2nd Runer Up (third place)! We are beyond happy and grateful. We are not disappointed at all for not becoming the 1st champion, because what we received was so much more than becoming in the 1st place! Even we could enter the grand final, it was still VERY SURREAL for us.

Above all, i thank God for His kindness. We are VERY SURE this is not our work. It's God's. It was really seem impossible to get through this competition and even win the third place. God's involvement was really there. We realized, before the competition begin, we prayed and surrendered all things might happen, but we still need to work hard for this. Indeed, Let we do the best and God do the rest.

Dress the Summer Vibe

Hello! I realized for the lack of blog posts this last 2 months, been having a very hectic schedule during it! I'm preparing a new collection at AmyGo, sure it is with high quality material and great workmanship. The new collection is fresh, young and you can feel summer energy in the prints!

There are 4 pretty colors: Deep black, Willow Green, Yellow and mint green. I am wearing min green color in this blogpost! Full collection can be seen on @amygostore Instagram.

I am so excited to run online clothing business. Since i love fashion very much, i also love styling and designing. If i am not an entrepreneur today, i would be a fashion stylist! I love arranging fashion shoots, lookbook concept, make- up theme and so on. I guess i have an art blood ;) Yet, it is very lovely to un a business that suits the passion. Thank's God i've found mine!

I enjoy hectic weeks and busy days. in fact, i hate the moments if i ended up at home doing nothing. I feel guilty and if i am not productive. I must gain or result something! I guess i'm a bit workaholic... Well I should stop. But again, since this is the passion, i can't even stop thinking about this. My brain keeps on working and i enjoy it! I don't feel tired at all. Hope these clothes can bring you the satisfaction and a great feeling wearing clothes!

White Midi Cullote

So happy these days in my life! Some plans didn't work really well and problems are still coming, but i am really happy, blessed and content! God has wonderfully made me for His purposes, so i just gonna need to live the life to the fullest! Problems and bad things come and go, success people is the one who can see the problems with another side of view, and those people strive to get better and fight what they want. The way success people see problems and mistakes by it's positive side, and yet still choose to react positive upon them. I wanna be one of those people!

I am in love with cullote pants! Like in my previous post, i wore the black cullote and this one is white! I love how this item can be very chic and casual, but also can go formal and sophisticated. This item makes statement, from usual boring outfits to the some playful and fashionable look!

This cullote is from my clothing brand AmyGo (@amygostore on Instagram) as i designed this piece with heart and love! <3 The material is so comfy. So i decided to go very casual with a baseball tee, a wedge sandal and a black bag.

How to Make a Flatlay Pictures

Hello! Making a #flatlay photo is actually very challenging! It is how you take photos from above (bird eye level) without making that annoying shadow of yourself ;D You can see hashtag #flatlay to see other references on Instagram!

I started to begin this new excitement when i saw beautiful photos of daily essentials on Instagram. Some bloggers or insta-celeb also capture interesting things and their feeds are awesome! Below are my own photo, take a look! :D

So i decided to learn how to make a #flatlay photography. So i learn that:

1. Find any monochrome backdrop/ background. White looks best! It could be bed sheet, white surfaced table, floor, etc.

2. Take your pictures on dayligh or at noon around 4 PM- 6 PM. 12 AM's sun is way too bright (and hot of course)!

3. Decide what items you wan't to capture. It can be your daily essential, your favorite food, your hobby related stuffs, and so on.

4. Arrange the stuffs nicely, the proposition has to be correct and you MUST pay attention to details. 1 centimeter is very relevant here in this case, what you see through your eyes CAN BE VERY DIFFERENT through the lense of your camera.

5. Test shoot is a mandatory. After you arrange the stuffs nicely and tidily, you can start to capture. Make sure your camera's ISO is correct and the lighting is soft; do not take pictures under direct sunlight because the result will be too bright/ too dark. You can take the pictures near the window for example.

6. Keep the photo ambience clean and neat. Watch your backdrop (especially when you use fabric), is it crumpled? It is still okay if your fabric is crump0ling, sometimes it adds more attractiveness too. Just make sure the fabric is not distracting the image.

7. Yet, just take the stuffs that are essentials, no need to throw all your fave stuffs in one frame.

8. Capture the #flatlay in many shots and many angles so at the end you can pick the best and the one you like the most.

Above are the #flatlay photos with random backgrounds. I took the photos on the table when we were gonna eat (ya, Instagrammer's problem: having their food cold ;') ) Same tips, just make sure you have enough light and a good arrangement!

You can edit the picture using VSCO cam application for Android or IOS. if you like Adobe Photoshop, you should do it! Adobe Photoshop has rich tools to be played around! ;)
